As an accountant, you can manage all your clients from a single login and invite new clients to join Telleroo.
Invite your client to Telleroo
You can start the invite process by heading to 'Clients' in the top navigation menu, and then click the 'Invite Client' button.
Company information
Section one asks for high-level information about the company and intended use for the Telleroo account:
Company Name
Company Registration Number (For charities, you can enter the charity commission number, and for non-registered entities, please type '00000000')
Select the Telleroo pricing package
Website
Select use of account: Which is how your client wants to use their account; for supplier and payroll payments or 'Other' if they have a different use case.
Annual income
Number of employees
Unique taxpayer reference
Is there an individual holding power of attorney for this company? - Select yes or no.
AML Compliance Checks - If you use Xama for AML compliance, you can now connect your account with Telleroo. Once you submit the client invite, Xama will share your client's KYC documents with Telleroo, reducing the amount of information you need to provide during onboarding. Further details here.
Press Save and Continue to go to the next section. This button on each section saves your progress as a draft. You can hit 'Cancel' in the top right corner and return to the draft at anytime. It will will appear in the 'Select client...' dropdown.
Payments
Next is Payments. In this section we ask for projected monthly payment amounts for:
Payroll
Business Payments (including invoice, bill, HMRC and expense payments)
This produces an estimated monthly total which we use to set a limit on your clients' account. This limit resets on the 15th of every month. Don't worry though, this can be increased in the future as your clients' business grows. Get in touch with our support team if you require your monthly limit to be increased.
Press Save and Continue.
Account
Section 3 focuses on how you will interact with the company. Within Telleroo there are 2 types of permissions available as an accountancy for your clients:
Submission Only: This allows you to submit pay runs for client approval but importantly, you will not be able to approve pay runs on their behalf. This will have to be done by one of the client approvers.
Management Access: This allows you to create the client's pay runs as with Submission Only but also gives you the ability to approve pay runs for your client giving you full control of the process. This will stop your client from getting the 'approve pay run' emails and you will receive them on their behalf. This is designed for a fully hands-off client where you manage it on their behalf.
We can only change to give you management access in the future by a signed letter from the director of the firm confirming they wish for the change to occur.
You can choose which team members can access this account. This is optional and can also be done after the account goes live.
Click Save and Continue.
Director
Lastly, we need details about the company's director (or trustee of the charity) on companies house:
First and last name
Date of Birth
Mobile Number
Email Address
Residential Address
Country of residence
They will be added as an Admin user to Telleroo, responsible for adding other users to their account in the future and confirming the invite to Telleroo which is generated once you complete the invite.
What happens next?
The Director will get an email asking them to confirm the Telleroo account and start our onboarding process where we conduct our KYB/KYC checks.
If we need any information we will reach out to you as the inviting accountant as the first point of call.
Inviting a client that's already using Telleroo
If a client already uses Telleroo and wishes to move under your accountancy portal, reach out at [email protected] and we can discuss the process with you.
How to resend an invite to a client
If a client hasn't accepted their invite to Telleroo and you want to resend it, you can do this by filtering to the client on your 'Select client' drop down and clicking the resend invite button.
Need to hit pause on a client invite?
Click 'Save and continue' in each section to save your progress as a draft. You can hit 'Cancel' in the top right corner and return to the onboarding at anytime. Your draft will appear in the 'Select client...' dropdown.
