There are two ways you can pay Xero Payroll with Telleroo. We recommend connecting Xero Payroll in Telleroo. This way, you don't have to export and import files as payments are created in Telleroo with a click of a button.
Adding employee bank details in Xero (required for both methods)
You only have to do this once. To add employee bank details you have to:
Go to Payroll > Employees and select the employee
Now in the employee navigation bar select Pay and select Electronic Transfer
In the bank detail inputs add the bank details of the employee and save
Add a Dummy SUN number
You only have to do this once. Without this Xero wouldn't allow you to export the payroll file.
In the top menu bar go to Payroll > Payroll Overview
Select the button edit payroll accounts
Scroll down on this page to the section Payroll Payments & Tracking.
Enter 123456 into BACS Service User Number
Recommended method: Click Sync Xero Payroll
First you need to connect to Xero Payroll. If you already have Xero bank feed connected, simply go to Settings, Xero Settings and click the toggle Sync Xero Payroll.
If you haven't connected your Xero account, click here for instructions which includes Xero Payroll.
Post your payroll in Xero. If you posted payroll before turning on the sync, you will need to revert and post it again.
Click Sync Xero Payroll and we will retrieve any posted payroll in Xero.
We will create a pay run for your Xero Payroll in Telleroo that is awaiting approval.
Method two: Download Xero Payroll file to import into Telleroo
In Xero within the payroll run, under Options, you can "Download Bank Payment File".
You need to ensure all your employees are set up under Electronic Transfer and have their bank details populated.
Then you can select the Faster Payments File option.

You then just need to follow the usual approval process within Telleroo to finalise the payroll.
