How to add funds to your Telleroo account

Funding your Telleroo account is easy, there are now 2 ways to do it.

At your bank

Simply initiate a transfer from your bank to the sort code and account number shown on the home screen of the Telleroo platform. Each of these is unique to each company and the account is set up in your own name.

This can be done as a one-off via Faster Payment, BACS or CHAPS or a standing order to top-up a regular amount at set time intervals.

Topping up your account via Faster Payment or BACS is free but there is a £25 fee we pass on from the bank for any CHAPS payment into your account.

This payment needs to come from a UK bank account in GBP in your business name.

Inside Telleroo

You can now initiate the payment inside Telleroo, simply by selecting who you bank with and confirming the amount you want to top up, you will be presented with a QR code to scan on your phone.

You will need to have online banking set up on the phone you scan with.

Scanning this QR code or using the desktop login link produced initiates the payment to your Telleroo account and you only need to approve the payment. This is sent via Faster Payment to your Telleroo account and should appear in your Telleroo account shortly after your bank sends the payment.

Yapily Connect Ltd, Telleroo's Open Banking Partner, will initiate this payment for you in accordance with their Terms & Conditions. If you have any questions please speak to Telleroo's support team.

Processing Times when Funding Your Telleroo Account

When you add funds to your Telleroo account, the time it takes for the transaction to reflect in your Telleroo balance can vary based on your bank's processing times.After your bank processes the transaction, the funds will normally appear in your Telleroo account within a matter of seconds.Here's a brief overview of typical processing times associated with different payment methods:

  • Faster Payments: Often processed within a few hours, and in most cases, almost instantly. This is the quickest way to fund your Telleroo account for transfers up to £1,000,000.

  • BACS (Bankers' Automated Clearing Services): Typically takes 3 working days for BACS to clear. Ideal for regular, non-urgent payments.

  • CHAPS (Clearing House Automated Payment System): Open on weekdays between 6am and 6pm. Payments can be processed in the same working day if they are submitted before the cut-off time (3pm to 6pm). CHAPS is suitable for large, time-sensitive payments.

Will the bank block large payments to Telleroo?

Your bank may block your first large payment to Telleroo. Your bank's customer service normally doesn't know about this until the fraud team has contacted you.
